Michael Jackson - False Allegations, 1993

Besides a great and successful career Michael Jackson used to have, a nasty controversy was also roaming with him. The Child Abuse allegation was much devastating than anything else. It was the summer of 1993, when Evan Chandler, a Dentist, made accusations against Michael. According to him, Michael had molested his 12-year-old son, Jorden Chandler.

On one hand, Michael was climbing the stairs of success and on the other hand, these accusations were threatening his career. It was the time when he just had released his famous album, "Dangerous" and was on the tour in Bankok. Because of these allegations, he had to cancel some legs of his tour. Apparently, just when it was looking like Michael was the perpetrator, June Chandler, wife of Evan Chandler, stated that she had never seen any unseemly gesture between Jorden and Michael. Also, according to her lawyer, Michael Freeman, "Evan began to get jealous of Michael because his son was spending much time him and he felt left out".

The most important thing that supported Michael's innocence was the recorded tape of Evan Chandler saying, "I don't care, Jackson's career will be over. He will face the humiliation than belief and would not sell one more record". These recordings were more than sufficient for the defence against these allegations. Apart from this, Chandler asked Jackson to pay him 20 million dollars to which Jackson responded negatively and this is the time when Chandler took these allegations to the court.
While all these things were going on, Michael was facing tremendous mental pressure and humiliation. His biggest nightmare came true when on December 1993, he was served with a search warrant for strip search for his body. He released a video in which he said, "Don't treat me like a criminal as I am not. If this is what I have to endure to prove my innocence then be it".
The saddest thing was that the whole world knew each and every detail of the accusations that were charged against him but the excruciating pain he was dealing with, nobody knew. In order to cope up with the pain and stress, he had to take pain medication. Soon, he started getting dependant on them and got addicted. His health kept on deteriorating and sometimes, he would faint. He stopped eating and started mourning his loss.
Soon, Michael realized that all those accusations were stopping him from what he was meant to do. He paid the amount that was demanded by Chandler after he had a huge discussion session with his family and friends. When asked, why he paid him if he was innocent, he replied, "I want to go on with my life, I want to sing, I want to dance, I want to perform and it is my talent that I can't let myself get stuck in this matter". It was clear from these statements that he wanted to avoid the nasty Media circus.

Michael acquitted of all the allegations
Certainly, it is clear that after all these accusations and allegations, his life was changed. Although, he released his next album, "History". There is a song which he wrote named, "Stranger in Moscow", in which he clearly said, "Swift and sudden fall from grace". Most probably, he wrote this song for himself.
Michael Jackson was acquitted of all the allegations but he continued to write songs against the Media and tabloids. But one thing is sure and conspicuous, which is, his life never remained the same. That Michael Jackson who was once immaculate, no longer existed.

We all love you Apple head!!!
